Lovely food, great service and beach location! Service was really quick, chips amazing, all food very tasty. Had vegan option of butternut squash risotto which was delish! Litterally half a roasted butternut squash with risotto on top, with chips and salad. Highly recommend if your hungry and in the area or nearby

So glad to find them serving food after a long walk. Portion sizes were generous and in line with prices. Great spot for people/car watching. Lovely bar staff and good selection of ales. Had a Sunday singer inside who sounded good.

Had a one night stop here on a hiking trip. The pub and rooms are separate. Pub first: The food was good and the staff were friendky, large portions if a little expensive. The rooms were well decorated and clean, beds crammed in, but good value and dog friendly (£15 surcharge). It loses a star as there was no hot water in the morning, and as the rooms are self-service there is no-one to talk to. Fit for purpose is probably the best description.

Just stopped for lunch. Pub based eating but good food and service. Not very busy when we went so don't know how it is in the height of the holiday season. Excellent gammon meals, the scampi was pretty standard fare.

Stopped here for lunch with the grandchildren. They had a good selection from which the grandchildren could choose. They chose the chicken chunks with chips and scampi with chips and peas. When the servings arrived, the portions where extremely generous. None of the grandchildren could finish the delicious food they were enjoying. The delicious adult servings were equally generous. Although it did a few extra minutes for the food to arrive, it was piping hot. The service was spot on and following up to ensure that we were satisfied with our experience. I would highly recommend this as an excellent place to enjoy a wonderful meal. The picture shows the Duke Salad and the other shows the Cheesy Garlic Bread.

The pub is right by the beach. Busy with holidaymakers. Had a superb pint of Guinness which cost £6 but it was the best I’ve had in Wales for many, many years if not the best ever. Then I had a gammon steak which was v good. The Duke of Edinburgh don’t try and cut corners on how much they give you. Let’s say I didn’t go hungry after eating it as you can see from the photo
